Acommodation in the Western Front

Ypres Salient area

Camalou, a nice B&B near Ieper, Belgium. Hostess, Annette, is a certified tour guide for the Ypres Salient. Fine accommodation.

Varlet Farm - located ten minutes drive from Ypres, in the former no-mans land, this working crop farm has a tastefully remodelled barn which boasts superb accommodation and food for a reasonable price. Hostess, Charlotte, is full of knowledge of the local area and will be happy to show you their own collection of WW1 artifacts, most of which were collected from the fields surrounding the farm. You won't be disappointed.

Woodside B&B - 30 minute drive from Ypres, 15 minute drive to Brugge.

Somme, France area

Jackie's B&B, in the village of Mailly-Maillet, 10 minutes drive from Albert, is friendly and comfortable with great food. Husband Rod Bedford also runs personalised tours of the area.
